GGiP visited Glastonbury this year asking people where their G-Spot is. Over the course of the event festival goers were invited to share their favourite place in the festival (their G-Spot) using stickers as well as share located memories to be tied to the GGiP memory tree.
Glastonbury's G(eography)-Spot was not just about frolics, stampers, badges and mapping memories. The GGiP stand had specially designed leaflets from the GA on becoming a geography teacher, information on courses at more than ten universities and massive Worldmapper maps. The stand also had a key message. At Glastonbury this year Oxfam, Greenpeace and other charities are teaming up to put forward the message 'We can stop climate chaos'. GGiP will were saying 'Give geography its place so we can stop climate chaos' and on poverty 'Give geography its place, the world can't wait'. Many thanks to the Geographical Association, Bath University Geography Department and Juicy Printing there support.
The G Spot stall looking very busy in what was a great success for the campaign. Thousands of badges were distributed by the GGIP team.
